Course Overview

This course focus on osteoporosis as a silent disease and the most common fragility fractures.

By completing this course, you will learn to:

    • Recognise a fragility fracture (low fracture trauma) as a warning sign of osteoporosis.
    • Consider the fragility fracture as a strong predictor of future fracture risk.
    • Identify the most common sites of fragility fractures.
    • Classify osteoporotic vertebral fractures.

Self-assessment criteria:

    • You must complete a multiple-choice question-based assessment to test your understanding of the content covered in this course.
    • There are 7 questions with a time limit of 15 minutes to complete the assessment. Once this time has elapsed, the assessment will be considered completed at its current level of progress.
    • A maximum of three attempts are allowed to pass the Self-assessment.
    • The pass mark is 80%.

If you successfully pass the assessment, you will be awarded certification for course 3 and progress to course 4.
