Osteoporosis is common, yet it often goes undiagnosed and untreated, and patients may be more concerned about other diseases.1

Osteoporosis is known as a silent disease because the deterioration of skeletal tissue that leads to fragile bones proceed with no symptoms and is often unrecognized until a fragility fracture is sustained.
