Course Overview

This course provides a clinical background of osteoporosis and its impact across patient populations.

After completing this course, you should:

    • Understand the clinical background of osteoporosis.
    • Know the epidemiology of osteoporosis based on age, sex, and other factors, and healthcare costs.
    • Recognise the importance of the primary fracture.
    • Be able to evaluate the different causes of osteoporosis.
    • Differentiate myths and facts about osteoporosis.

Self-assessment criteria:

    • You must complete a multiple-choice question-based assessment to test your understanding of the content covered in this course.
    • There are 7 questions with a time limit of 15 minutes to complete the assessment. Once this time has elapsed, the assessment will be considered completed at its current level of progress.
    • A maximum of three attempts are allowed to pass the Selfassessment.
    • The pass mark is 80%.

If you successfully pass the assessment, you will be awarded certification for course 1 and progress to course 2.
