Overview of the program
This program is intended for physicians in primary care areas who participate in caring for patients at risk of or suffering from osteoporosis.
It aims to provide primary care physicians with:
- An update about physiopathology of osteoporosis and, most commonly, fragility fractures consequence of osteoporosis.Â
- Myths and facts about osteoporosis treatments.
- Tools and resources relevant to the clinical practice to:Â
- Identify at-risk patients;Â
- investigate to make the diagnosis;Â
- intervene in primary and secondary fracture prevention;Â
- monitor and reevaluate for the integral management of the patient with osteoporosis
The program is made up of 8 courses. Each course provides an overview of each topic, supplemented with resources and interactive exercises.
Each course includes a self-assessment.
